2025-2026 3 year old program update! For those who submitted their child's information for the 3 year old program, please be watching the mail this week for the status of your child's enrollment. As stated before, there are very limited spots in this program so many are placed on the waiting list.
Class of 2025 graduates, your diplomas are ready in the high school office. They can be picked up today, Friday, June 13th until 4:00 or Tuesday through Friday next week between 7:00 and 4:00. Any diplomas left after Friday, June 20th will have to be picked up in August.
The deadline to register for the Stone County School Readiness Fair is July 25, 2025. Register at www.sscfpd.org This event provides backpacks, haircuts, school supplies, shoes, socks, underwear, and more for students! See the attached flyer for more information on the August 8th event.

Two of our very own Pirates took 1st place in the State Fishing Tournament this weekend on Stockton Lake. Congratulations to Kale Scott and CJ Conrad. They received $163,000 in scholarships. What a great accomplishment!!
The weather looks good for Tuesday and Wednesday! Elementary Summer School Students will be going to the pool twice this week. Detailed information about the pool trips can be found in the attached pictures (the dates are wrong - we are doing what we can). Mrs. Blair will send out a text reminder on Monday evening.

Mrs. Mease needs new sponsors for Project Prom. Crane Project Prom is an outside organization/non-profit, separate from the school, that organizes the Project Prom event for Crane students every year. It involves considerable fundraising but is an amazing, all night event that ensures our students have a safe, drug and alcohol free after prom party. To keep the learning going, even as the school year wound down, Mrs. Merritt's 2nd grade class partnered with Mrs. Lawson's 3-year-old preschool class for a special reading activity. This collaborative experience allowed students from both age groups to learn from one another. The second graders practiced their reading skills and developed confidence as leaders, while the preschoolers learned the joy of storytelling and language. It was a meaningful and enriching experience for all!
Boys & Girls Club would like us to communicate to parents that their summer hours end at 6:00 pm, not 7:00 pm each day. Your child(ren) will need to be picked up at the church every evening by 6:00 pm. Thank you!

Elementary grade cards were sent home with students the last day of school and have been sent via email for the 2024-2025 school year. Class placements for 2025-2026 will not be set until a later date due to changes in staff. We will notify parents/guardians via email and social media (Facebook/Crane School app) once placements are sent out. We hope everyone has a wonderful summer!

Crane R-III is once again offering one section of full-day three-year-old preschool for the 2025-2026 school year. Eligible students have to turn three by August 1, 2025. Summer School starts tomorrow (5/27). Here is some information for our Elementary Summer School students.
Today marked the final day of the school year for the Crane Pirate Staff, and we kicked things off with a heartfelt celebration for four amazing retirees. A huge congratulations to Mrs. Leslie Henry, Mrs. Michelle Malcom, Mr. Phil McKinley, and Mr. Donnie White on their well-earned retirement!
Mrs. Henry has dedicated 29.5 years to education, and we were lucky to have her with us for the last two years as our Elementary Counselor. Mrs. Malcom has been a steady and supportive presence at Crane, serving as a paraprofessional for an incredible 25 years. Mr. McKinley has spent 34 years teaching high school English with 27 of those right here at Crane, shaping the lives of countless students. And Mr. White has been behind the wheel for the past 10 years, safely getting our Pirates to and from school every day.
The dedication, heart, and impact these four have had on our school community will be felt for many years to come. Be sure to check out the photo of Mr. McKinley with current Crane R-III staff who had the unique honor of being his students back in high school! It is proof of just how far an educator's influence reaches.
