Crane High School will be hosting a FAFSA Night for seniors and their parents on February 8th from 4:30-6:30 in the HS JAG Room. OTC financial aid advisors will be available to help students and parents fill out and answer any questions about the FAFSA application. This application should be completed by any senior that is an A+ candidate or any senior who is thinking about furthering their education. Please bring your SSN, chromebook, and cell phone for verification to the meeting. Also, you must apply for an FSA id at studentaid.gov at least three days prior to the meeting. Three of our Crane seniors who attend Gibson Technical Center's EMT program qualified for the State HOSA competition! Kailey Vaught qualified as an individual in Pathophysiology, which is the study of abnormal body functions resulting from or associated with disease or injury. Brandon King and Jacie Foster qualified in CERT, which tests the knowledge and skills required for disaster preparedness and response. Gibson Tech's EMT Team qualified as well. Wish them luck as they prepare for the state competition in Rolla in March! We are so proud of you guys!


Our Jr High and High School Students of the Month for January are Sophomore Hunter Campbell and 7th grader Halee Tucker. About Hunter, his teachers shared: "I am honored to nominate Hunter. I have had the privilege of observing him since Aug. He is a hard-working, goal-oriented student. I appreciate his positive attitude and his willingness to help others. Thanks...and keep up the great work!" About Halee, her teachers and peers shared: "She is kind, caring, hard working, and smart."

The Crane R-III School District has an opening for a Physical Education/Weightlifting teacher for grades 7-12 for the 2024-2025 school year. There is a baseball head coaching opportunity tied to this position. Crane R-III operates under a four day school week (Tuesday-Friday) with one Monday a month designated as a staff professional learning day. The District provides $450 paid towards health insurance and board-paid long-term disability insurance. Crane also provides partial reimbursement for approved graduate programs.
