Elementary families, CSCO Basketball League forms for PK-3rd grades have been sent home. Forms and money are due back this Friday, January 24! This league runs off of volunteers, so let CSCO know you are willing to help!

Our Lady Pirates are playing in the Lady Comet Classic in Marionville this week. We kick off our games on Tuesday night at 7:30 against Mt Vernon.

Congratulations to our senior, Brady Robinson, on signing with Missouri Valley to play baseball!

Holtyn is Crane Elementary's first student to add his work to our Refrigerator Work space! He earned a 100% on a Finding Equivalent Fractions paper.
This space has been created for students to post work, of any subject, they are super proud of and put their best effort into completing.
If you have any school appropriate refrigerator magnets you would like to donate for students to choose from to display their work, any donations would be greatly appreciated.

There WILL be VoTech at Table Rock Career Center tomorrow even if Reeds Spring is not able to have school. The water is working at TRCC.

Congratulations to our High School English teacher, Yearbook sponsor, and Jr Class co-sponsor, Ms. Alyssa Knight, for being selected as our January Teacher of the Month! We love having you at Crane and appreciate all you do, Ms. Knight!

Mrs. Lawson's preschool class had a blast exploring colors and practicing fine motor skills! Using snow from the playground, our students took pipettes filled with colored water and carefully dropped it onto the snow. This fun activity helped them identify different colors, mix them together, and observe how new colors are created! It was a wonderful way for them to engage in hands-on learning while also developing their coordination.

There will be no VoTech tomorrow. Reeds Spring is having water issues. VoTech students need to be at school by 11:40.

Our Lady Pirates split tonight in Sparta. JV lost, 39-35, and Varsity won, 54-47. Senior Lily Woodward scored her 1000TH POINT!

Seniors and senior guardians: Don't forget about FAFSA Night tomorrow from 5:00-6:00pm in the library. Make sure you have created your FSA ID and bring your chromebook. If you have questions contact Mrs. Mullins - mullinsm@crane.k12.mo.us

Please remember, if you have any questions regarding the AMI work, you can message your child’s teacher via email or through Rooms on the Crane R-III app.The AMI work will be due the next day we return to school. Stay safe and warm! And enjoy setting your kiddos sleep in tomorrow !

Due to the timing of the winter storm the girls' and boys' basketball games scheduled for this evening have been canceled. We are also canceling all afterschool activities and/or practices. At this time Boys & Girls Club will be open.

K-5 Cheer Camp forms went home with girls Tuesday, and are due early next week! We are SO excited for the opportunity to teach your girls some cheers, and have a ton of fun!
Something not included on the form is that checks should be made out to Crane Schools. In the memo line, you can write cheer! Thank you so much for your support of our growing program!

Our Crane Pirates took on Southwest tonight with wins for both JV and Varsity.
JV turbo clocked Southwest to win 61-22 and Varsity posted a score of 62-43. Way to go boys!

With winter upon us and the increased possibility of inclement weather, please make sure your student(s) know where their AMI packets are. If you have any questions, please contact your child's building level office.

Did you know your family may qualify to have your taxes prepared for free right here in Crane? See information on the attached flyer.

Parents/Guardians of 10th, 11th, and/or 12th grade students: In an effort to help any college-bound student reach their post-secondary goals, we will be offering the opportunity for 10th-12th grade Crane students to take the ACT at Crane High School during the school day. This will take place on March 11, 2025. The cost for the test is $54, a savings of $11 off the regular price. It is the policy of Crane R-III High School to reimburse the ACT test-taking fee to those students who, on their first attempt, score at or above the most recent Missouri State Average score on the ACT test. Crane High School will also, on subsequent attempts, reimburse the fee if a student improves upon their best score.
Some advantages of taking the ACT at school during the day:
1. You do not need to find transportation to an ACT location on a Saturday.
2. The location is guaranteed. They won't close the site due to low numbers like they can for National testing.
3. It is cheaper than a National test ($54 compared to $65 for the exact same test)
4. You can improve your score the more times you take the ACT. Most colleges accept super scores. Your superscore is the average of your best scores from each subject from multiple test attempts.
If you would like your student to participate in this testing opportunity, please complete the attached form (https://forms.gle/TGti6VdgxQ2rBec87) and pay your $54 fee to the high school office by January 28th. If you have questions, contact Mrs. Mullins at mullinsm@crane.k12.mo.us or call 417-723-5300 ext 718.
