This week, our Crane R-III spotlight is in the High School. We have been working to provide some varied learning experiences this semester, and we have had a few of our core class teachers take groups on educational field trips. Mr. Brown took his Civil War classes to Pea Ridge, Arkansas. Students were able to see first hand where 11,000 Union troops defeated 16,000 Confederate troops on March 7-8, 1862, and learn more about the Battle of Pea Ridge.

Our Jr High and High School students of the month for November are 8th grader Orion Vincent and Junior Nicole McDowell.
Orion had two nominations. About him, his teachers shared: 1) Orion has grown so much in the past year. He is working hard on all of his assignments. He is asking for help when needed, and he is using his time wisely. He helps others in our classroom when needed. I am very proud of the young man Orion is becoming. 2) Orion has done a fantastic job keeping up his grades. His attitude toward school and completing his work on time has been great. Orion has a beautiful sense of humor and lets others see it more often this year. He has matured to become a nice young man with a heart of gold.
About Nicole, her teacher shared: Nicole is a terrific student, but is an even more amazing person. She is kind to all and very dedicated to her school. She will push out of her comfort zone to help others - like playing TAPS in front of the whole school numerous years in a row. She is truly a worthy student!
Great job Nicole and Orion! We are thankful for you!

Starting Tuesday, the Jr High and High School students and teachers can participate in some 12 Days of Christmas FUN!
