Your Crane 7th through 12th grade student(s) will be coming home today with packets in preparation for possible AMI (Alternative Methods of Instruction) days in the event of school being canceled due to weather. Students need to take these packets and leave them at home as a "just in case" possibility. The packets for our Jr. High and High School students are covering Social Emotional Learning (SEL). The state now requires that we incorporate SEL into our curriculum. We saw this as a great opportunity to deliver that content to students, and we hope this is an opportunity to create important conversations between parents or guardians and their students. The content focuses on choices and consequences, the benefits of good choices, healthy communication, and working through negative feelings. The packets are extensive, but these are the only assignments in the event of our first 3 AMI days, and the completed work must be returned to Pirate Time teachers on the day we return. If we end up having a total of 4 AMI days, the 4th day will be the responsibility of the individual teachers to assign work to their students. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Mease or call the High School office.
