Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and we hope to see all of our parents and guardians there! Every child needs supportive parents or guardians and teachers, and it's even better when we're all working together for what's best for them. Be on the lookout for more information from your child's teacher(s) or building level office.
This is a reminder for parents/guardians picking up their children in the gravel parking lot at the end of the high school and jr. high hallway at the end of the day. To help make our end of day traffic safer, the gravel lot driveway closest to 413 is for ENTERING ONLY. The gravel lot driveway closest to the high school parking lot is for EXITING ONLY. This in person event is your chance to collaborate, discuss, and gain new insights in the field of special education. Breakfast will be provided, and there will be lots of vendors; Champion Athletes of the Ozarks, Stone County Developmental Disability, Linkability, DaytasticAba, etc.

Our September Students of the Month in the Jr High and High School are 7th grader Holly Guess and Freshman Addyson Custer. About Holly, the nominating teacher said: Holly is a hard worker and an excellent student! She is always on task and following the rules! I am so glad to have her in my class! About Addyson, the nominating teacher said: Addyson is consistently kind, hopeful, and encouraging. She is continuously interested in understanding and exceeding expectations. Addyson is HUMBLE, recognizing there's always room for growth. She is HUNGRY, embracing a growth mindset and actively seeking information on how she can improve her skill set in various areas. She is also SMART, often showing appreciation for others by looking to see and acknowledging the variety of skills and talents they possess. Being HUMBLE, HUNGRY, AND people SMART are traits we are focusing on as a district. Thank you to Addyson's teacher for incorporating those important traits into your nomination for student of the month, and thank you to Holly and Addyson for being worthy of praise! Great job!
The Jr. High Pirates played the Spokane Owls this evening. Our Lady B Team pulled out a win while the other three teams played hard, but just couldn't get the win! Join us next week for the GOC Conference Tournament! Stay tuned for bracket information!

The last two weeks the kindergartners have been learning all about pumpkins to help prepare for their field trip to the pumpkin patch! They got to cut into a pumpkin, hammer a pumpkin, paint a pumpkin, get a mini pumpkin friend and even make a paper plate pumpkin with real seeds. They got to learn all about the life cycle of a pumpkin and all of its parts! It is safe to say they are ready for their field trip to the Pickin Patch!

The Pirates Baseball team keeps playing well and gets a big win against a tough Blue Eye team. Final score 8 - 2. The JV won 6 - 0
Yesterday in World Foods students wrapped up their unit with a cooking lab! Students made tacos, fajitas, and home made tortillas for quesadillas. Mrs. Tapia made Spanish rice and the students all shared what they had made with the class! They did a wonderful job and we are looking forward to many more labs!
What a great night for Crane Baseball in Washburn. The Pirates beat Southwest 12 - 4. The JV came out on top as well, with a score of 8 - 0.
The Crane Lady Pirates took on the Purdy Lady Eagles. Varsity won in four sets and JV also won their set! Way to go, ladies!
Jordan Valley Dental Bus is coming back to Crane! It will be seeing students who have Medicaid Insurance. Consents were sent home last week to elementary students, if you need another one please reach out to Nurse Sydney. JR high and HS students may pick up consents in the high school office. Consents are due no later than October 17, 2024. The bus will be here October 22nd, 24th, 29th and 30th. They will also be returning in the spring.
Tonight's volleyball match against Purdy will be varsity first at 5:30, followed by one set of JV.
In a big GOC matchup, the Crane Pirates were able to come back and win in walk-off fashion against the Spokane Owls. The final score was 7 - 6 in 8 innings.
The JV also won with a final score of 8-3
October is Spina Bifida Awareness month! Help support Kendrick Scott throughout the entire month of October.
Our baseball boys fought hard today and got a big win against rival Galena. Final score 5 - 4.

The Lady Pirates played the School of the Ozarks Lady Patriots this evening. The JV won in two sets, but unfortunately our Varsity lost in three sets.
